To be a writer

I want to be a writer.
Therefore I will write.
I will pull words from my brain and put them on a page.
I will string together words.
And delete them.
And misspell them.
And rewrite them.
I will try to use good grammar.
The very best grammar.
I will use the weapons language gives me.
Adjectives and verbs.
Nouns and Pronouns.
Similes and metaphors and personification.
I will try to keep it simple and my sentences short.
But I will fail at that over and over again, making my sentences so long and complicated it's hard for the reader to follow and I apologize in advance for stringing you along.
And then I will edit that sentence.
Making my sentences short.
There, it will be clear.
I will tell stories and anecdotes.
I will have theories and philosophies.
I will be wrong a lot but it won't matter.
Because the most important thing for someone who wants to be a writer is to write. So that's what I will do.
